10 Common Airport Scams (and how to avoid them)

Beware of the latest scams when travelling to and from Palma de Mallorca Airport, or indeed anywhere!

Unfortunately scammers and thieves realise that we can easily be distracted when arriving or leaving an airport and it is therefore very important to be alert and aware of the dangers posed by scammers targeting travellers and holidaymakers.

Use a hidden pouch or money belt for small valuables

Leave your most valuable items in your hotel, hostel or apartment safe

Carry a photocopy of your passport instead of the actual one

Make sure you have good travel insurance which covers the loss of valuables
