Could This Creative Solution Work On The Island Of Mallorca?

Could this creative solution work on the Island of Mallorca?

There are many people currently studying creative solutions for social distancing in restaurants all around the world at this time. Mediamatic, an art gallery and restaurant in Amsterdam is hoping to gain approval for a proposed dining solution when the restaurant is allowed to reopen.

The glasshouses “create a safe and intimate home for partners to reconnect, with the outside world at their own leisure”, the restaurant posted on Instagram.

Their website goes on to explain that these “quarantine greenhouses” allow for two people to dine together, adding that these dining ‘pods’ would only be for people that are already living together. Currently the package is already sold out up until the end of June, even though it is not known if this social distancing dining solution will receive government approval and may well be cancelled if the plan is not sanctioned.

This safe, water side dining idea or variation could possibly work in Palma and other locations in Mallorca, all be it it might in it’s current format it might be a little hot!

Perhaps with a little creative, outside the box and lateral thinking alternative ideas and solutions will be put forward by the island’s architects, designers, chefs and restauranteurs in the coming weeks and months.

Let’s see what happens…
