A Mallorca Hotel to Obsess Over
The monthly magazine Food&Wine, well known for featuring recipes, chefs, cooking tips, restaurant reviews and travel information, listed seven hotels in it’s recent article entitled, “Where to Stay in Spain: 7 Hotels to Obsess Over Right Now”.
Two hotels in the Balearic Islands are listed, one hotel on the island of Mallorca, Cap Rocat, and one on the nearby island of Ibiza. The other five hotels mentioned are in the cities of Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga, Santiago de Compostela and Seville.
The Cap Rocat Hotel is right by the sea on a headland at the eastern end of the sweeping Bay of Palma in the south of Mallorca. The listing mentions: “The cliff-top setting of this fort turned boutique hotel on the southern edge of the Bay of Palma served the Spanish military well for years. Now it provides incredible water views for guests like you. The stunning sandstone property blends into the landscape, giving it a sense of privacy, especially in the nooks that have been cut into the cliffs. Stake one out for a quiet dinner or just to soak up the sun.”
The other six hotels mentioned were:
Soho House in Barcelona
Nobu Hotel in Ibiza
Finca Cortesin in Málaga
Urso Hotel & Spa in Madrid
A Quinta da Auga in Santiago de Compostela
Trasierra in Seville
