Designers to Make Themselves More Visible to Tourists

Looking forwards to 2021 as we have to do, the designers of the Moda Mallorca collective want to make themselves more visible to tourists when they return.

They have created a mobile fashion display unit that will be installed in 4 and 5 star hotels on the island, to sell their clothes next season. The unit features creations from 6 local designers, and will initially be installed in 7 hotels.

The president of the Associació Col·lectiu Moda Mallorca, Joana Borràs, has said that using this unit will help the designers to avoid the added costs of having intermediaries in the commercial chain. Whilst at the same time, hotels will receive a commission for each piece sold. The Government and the Consell de Mallorca are collaborating with the this new initiative.
